Whats all this xfire shit on this website?
Never used xfire, never will, don't give shit about it but so many people seem to ass rape it as using it as some kind of proof for low population on games?
The only thing you need to know about Xfire is this
1 month ago, 15,000 people were using xfire and playing warhammer
Now 7000 people are using xfire and playing warhammer.Determine from that whatever you want. Some people (like myself) see it as an indication that about 50% of all players have left warhammer. Others say it only shows that 8,000 people have left warhammer.
There are currently only a few sources other than EA to give us an indication of how Warhammer is doing. Pops on servers are now almost all low/low. Amazon.com now has Warhammer outside the top 100 in box sales for all video games, and outside the top 20 for pc games... and Xfire, which shows half of it's players (15k to start) have now quit Warhammer.
A very small % of MMO players use x-fire.. None of the arguments either positive or negative for Warhammer are valid. ![]()
Doesn't matter how many % of people use Xfire that play WAR.
It does show the people who DO use Xfire AND play WAR are now playing it less and less often.
Its still a very valid representation of the state of the population.
Totally agree. The landscape is very well put together, but the character and NPC models are pretty horrific.
Infact if you stand side by side with an NPC, your own model against the NPCs looks like it was made by a totally different modeller and texture artist and even animator. The way the NPCs stand around with their arms out and walk like they've just pooped their pants is cringeworthy.
Lotro is a great game with some excellent features but the character models REALLY let it down.
Theres a rating system already on this very site.
Have to agree with you guys.
It does what it does very well, but for me I need my MMOs to convince me I'm in a living world - War just doesn't do this, as it feels like everything is set up, placed and nothing is natural.
They went too far in removing the 'fluff' and spaces between spaces.
'War is everywhere!' Mythic say, well to create the feeling of a living world, 'War' needs to be contrasted with quiet areas.
Its a shame because the Warhammer world is a great place rich in lore, but WAR the game feels more like a one way train ride through selected zones.
Nice sarcastic troll post OP - very nearly had me fooled for a millisecond ![]()
