  • The game was fun for a while, TBH.  New classes, new spells, and new content kept me entertained.  Honestly though, I never really felt the need to complain about anything others were so adamant about.  I played a few classes and never really felt like there was a "game killer" hidden in my talent tree or spell book.  That being said, the shield nerf was, well, very obnoxious, yet I adjusted my playstyle.  I think a lot of the anger may stem from some not wanting to adjust constantly, and they feel they should be able to play how they play from day 1 to the end of days.  Just look at the hate for SOE.  The game is very playable, and a lot more balanced in its current state.  What they did, however, is change the game, and that's what drove people away, and drove them to loathe SOE.  I didn't quit because of the catch all phrases that no one can seem to get very specific about, like "terrible PVP" or "bugs," I just got bored

  • Are you people seriously that hypocritical?  People who actually enjoy the game are "fanbois" and "koolaid drinkers," yet you declare yourselves as "haters" with such sarcasm.  As though because you cannot enjoy it it MUST be terrible.  You think it shouldn't be rated so high so it MUST be fanbois giving perfect 10's.  You MUST balance by giving all 1's.  Do you seriosuly not see how stupidly similar you are to those fanbois you loathe so much?  FFS.  One poster said how there must be some fans, but they are silent, and how that was "amazing."  Not amazing, just that poeple don't go around giving compliments because it is apparently less fun to compliment and more fun to bitch.  To cut down, complain, insult, cry, whine, and shoot out word vomit that consists of regurgitated opinions, unoriginal and unsatisfactory.
    
    The game, IMO, was fun.  I get bored easily, and jump around from game to game.  I enjoyed the classes I played, and the levels I gained, but only for so long.  The graphics were beautiful.  Color does not translate into beauty, as some previous posters indicated.  They were smooth, detailed, and the lighting and effects were stunning.  The sounds were good too, great score, good effects, and I love the screams of my enemies.  I was entertained.  The game did well, as it ENTERTAINED me.  That's what games do.  Why is everyone so damn critical these days?   Crying about not getting what they payed for, seriously?  How many useless pieces of sh*t do you have lying around your house that you bought and don't use anymore because they weren't as great as you thought they were?  Do you complain to the manufacturer and make it very public how much you think you've been cheated, how much of a failure you think they are?

    Then why do it here?  Probably just because you can.  Probably the same sh*tty group of people that ask for their money back after a movie.  You make piss poor decisions, so pass the blame.  People chime in and all of a sudden it's, hey EVERYONE must hate Funcom.  Of course.  Logic escapes you.  Continue your schooling.  Read more.  Study more.  FFS take some logic and reasoning classes,  and couple those with some statistical analisys classes.  It will help, I promise.

    Better company, but I cant take the game anymore. AoC is better in its flawed state than back to the same stuff Ive been played for 3 yrs

    Amen.  I will jump from one new MMO to another for the rest of my days.  Never again will I let myself get sucked into the same stupid s*** for such a long period of time only to realize it isn't the game keeping me there, but my friends and guildies.  Ask any end game raider why they play.  They sure as f*** wont come out with, "because (insert game here) is so f-ing awesome."  It's not about the games anymore guys, it's following the community.
