So you're saying console fps games isnt a flooded market?
Or console games in general.
K thanks.
At least there are many more different variations of FPS, many more types of FPS, better storylines, actual sequences, and goals, have you ever played a game thats not an MMO? And who said picking up a controller meant a console anyway?![]()
Try being diverse for once, when did I ever say anything about a FPS? why not try a platformer? Why not try some puzzle games? Get out of the MMO hole if you think that enjoying WAR is a stupid mistake made by "noob" gamers. WARHAMMER is a good game.
I've rarely gotten to post here in the past couple weeks so this'll be fun.
I gotta say most MMO players are nothing but a bunch of punks. Seriously everyone knows whats best for the game their playing.. not playing,... or thinking about playing.. and everyone thinks the game needs to be tailored to their personal needs.
Not a single hardcore MMO player is a serious hardcore gamer. Immersing yourself in such a flooded genre will only burn you out again and again. WoW players that think their game is the end all - be all of MMOs, but still can't understand why so many millions of players enjoy "asian" grinders will just never understand.
And to say that WAR is any worse or any better then LOTRO, or WoW is opinion. Why are you people taking WAR as either your savior or your own personal failure. Its a game! You either like it or you don't. All games have bugs -- ALL games do.
Hey, I'm sorry if WAR stole your girlfriend or something, but stop trying to convice people that this game is unplayable. I've been playing it.. not nearly as much as I did when it first came out (blame Fable 2 and fallout3) But to think the game wasn't worth the initial 50 bucks nor worth another 15 to renew a subscription when I feel like playing it is ridiculous.
And to all those players that think every new MMO sucks since (WoW, SWG Pre NGE, EQ1), OPEN YOUR EYES, theres a big gaming world outside of MMOs, if you've been grinding WoW for 3 years I think its time to put down your keyboard and pick up a controller.

Considering the horrendous amount of RP and EXP you receive from Scenarios in comparison to Open RvR lakes, I would say "yes", they are in a way, forcing us as it is the main means for progressing in this game. Just my two cents though.
That somewhat makes me feel like you didn't read my post all the way through. Lets take T2 for example. On the losing end of T2 you can maybe come off with 100 RP worst case scenario.. maybe with an average highpoint of winning a scenario of 450. Thats safe to say for T2 for around a level 12-15... and that high point is a really high point considering.
Taking a single CP which you can take all 4 in 30 minutes.... taking 1 CP... give you about 300 standard. So you can make a possible amount anywhere between 400RP and 1840RP, or make an exact amount of 1200RP just from taking CPs. That doesn't count any opposing sides you meet on the way, or taking the keep.. much less the entirety of the area, which can triple the amount of RPs given.
Also these things scale with level so keep that in mind. Now XP like I sad, for each RvR area you've got at least 4-6 quests minimum each with with a 1200 - 3000XP bonus for completing the quests. Overall the actual XP rewards almost equal out, except that killing champs and heros give great XP then killing regular players.
So overall I think they are pretty much on par with eachother. The big difference between the 2 are that scenarios are equal and take less time. But there are many more quests pointed to RvR then there are to Scenarios.. so I think all arrows point more towards OWRvR then scenarios.
Thats just how I see it.. eventhough I am a scenario hog.
I find that theres a great deal of PVE to be had. Pick a well populated server so you can finish some PQs. Also, in the RvR areas you have PVE monsters that you can kill to take Control Points to assist in world buffs for your realm.
People don't give the PVE in this game enough credit. No this PVE isn't much different then any other games PVE. The quests are pretty much the same, the rewards are pretty much the same. The PQs add a nice change of pace, and in the later PQs the objects to complete them change so its not always "Kill MonsterX" to complete the PQ.
However, I wasn't one for PvP either until I played this game.. they make it a very easy, light hearted, fun experience to PVP, even if it isn't your mainstay, you may find that it gives that extra oomph that you might just keep coming back for.

Few more weeks, and I predict she won't be playing, anymore.
Been playing since launch and I'm taking off work tomorrow to stay and play :) They gave me more then a month and I still enjoy it. Oh.. and after I'm done destroying destruction and get bored.. (probably in the next couple months) I'll just turn around and roll destruction.
