It has been one full year since I've beta tested LotrO , hard to believe how fast time is flying a long.
From the first time I set foot into Lord of the Rings online I was not impressed, the world was linear in many ways and the character felt constricted to a set path laid for them. As the beta went on further and further and patches and updates came in a furious and in a precise response to beta-players feed back, the game truly started to take shape. The beta was by far one of the best relationships I've seen between the testers and a developer.
After the 1st phase of testing was completed I really didn't think I would be back in phase 2, but low and behold, I did decide to give a try after I was invited to Vangaurd beta only to be crushed by the sheer disappointment of that game, so I said "might as well give LotRO part duo a go." Being a semi "in the know" about different developing areas, I don't mind testing games, anyway I loaded up the last phase of CB and to my surprised, the entire control and movement was revamped, it felt like a open world mmo now. It was like night and day between the 2 phases and can honestly say I am glad i gave it it another go. The game just felt brand new, it was amazing.
To the Present day, I am still playing LotrO and still loving the game, I have not even made it through all of the content yet and still trying to level my first character from opening day. I haven't even started on any of the other races or even focused on my deeds book yet. I haven't burned myself out on this game either, you can play it at what ever pace and get a good bit done soloing , and when the time arises you can still find groups.
Just want to say Cheers to anyone else who has made it this far along side me . Lord of the Rings Online is in for the long hall, that is for sure.

Am I the only person who thinks Turbine is a terrible company? AC2 is not their only blunder. While eventually it was an alright game, it was a mistake for them to make it in the first place, and they have admitted that. They admitted competing with themselves for a player base was just bad marketing.
Amazingly, when Turbine bought the license to AC from Microsoft and owned it 100%, that's when the original game started to go downhill. They made a couple good decisions right off the bat, and then thinks just went to hell. They made a series of horrible decisions which ultimately led to the life support the game is currently on. All they care about now is big IPs, where instead they should be focused on the former creativity that they had. DDO had potential to be much much more than it is, and IMO is just plain crap. And LotR online, while not horrible, is also not near the potential it had.
AC1 will always remain my favorite MMO of all time. I have the best memories of any game I've played, in it. But I loathe Turbine for running it into the ground with bad decision after bad decision. It was their baby, and it proved that they were extremely innovative and creative. But then they ditched innovation and creativity and replaced it with big name IPs.

MoM expansion is just crazy , the amount of work and polish the game world has now is better then anything on the market, a game with the look , a game with an actual game world , and mechanics that seems to grow.![]()
MoM, blows anything I've played in the past 5 years away, in the mmorpg genre. Once I got inside and started to see the craftman ship of the world designers, it is just mind knumbing. Turbine is a gamers game company.
the game is not for everyone though, and people get out of it what they put, if your going to moan and grump around, you won't like it, this game is not for the emo.
"vavle" = pure blizzard tard like sell out. Dave Newball said he would never make a game for the ps3, guess what L4D is coming out for Ps3. F valve, they ruined every great mod , mods that used to free, now lame suck tards pay 20 dollars for them which inturn makes the "we can make money off mods now , bitchen" mentallity stick. If you can trust Valve, you are just not informed about games, At All, or you just like "big sell out everyone is playing it" games.
Well this is very interesting, the Wow fan base bulsters it has atleast 10million US and Eu subs ?
Guess what > the sales numbers for boxes was 2.5 million. So they seem to be a little short on the numbers.. wait, so that means what I said almost 1 year ago was true ? that the rest of the numbers are the Asain markets ?
If there was over 10 million poeople playing you would think they would of moved more boxes..
Think the Runekeep is your tradition "squishy" class dps or buff debuffer. So I would recommend playin it that , and not try to be a Minstrel or LoreMaster with it. From what I've gathered ffrom my kinship, the DPS is pretty good...
read on , my friends...
