PlayStation owners are about to grab Final Fantasy VII Remake for free with some stellar March PS Plus games.
If you own a PlayStation and don’t already subscribe to Sony’s online add-on package I beseech thee to get the credit card out and dial in that subscription. The Japanese gaming giant doesn’t just charge Sony fans for the privilege of going online but is set to add some huge games to players library’s with four titles during March. The PS4 edition of Final Fantasy VII Remake headlines the four games that make up the March edition of PS Plus games but this hit remake of the 1997 classic Final Fantasy installment is far from the whole story.
The Rest Of March
Joining the acclaimed re imagining of Cloud’s dentures is Farpoint, a sci-fi themed VR shooter that landed back in 2017. While the PSVR was still in its infancy then, the Impulse Gear and published by Sony Interactive outer space adventure threw gamers into an immersive mix of gunplay and eerie sci fi environments.
Alongside these two, you’ll also be able to download and keep Remnant From the Ashes, a more recent 2019 escapade from Gunfire Games. Best described as a beautiful post apocalyptic souls lite, this gorgeous single player campaign flew under the radar when it launched despite some exuberant critical praise, including our own team’s “I hate you ginormous tree ogre.”
Finishing up the top trio of free games is the debut of first-person recursive puzzle game that takes you into a world where every building, plant, and object are simultaneously tiny and staggeringly huge on PS5. The brand new brain teaser might look lovely but I’m sure it’s not going to be plain sailing even if you manage to get through all the other titles. This one is just for PS5 players. While you can purchase and keep it for later, you’ll need to be one of the ten people that have a PS5 to actually solve this one.
