The new year brings with it a new chapter in the life of Battlefield V. Dubbed the Chapter 2: Lightning Strikes update, Battlefield V is about to bring the thunder with this new season of content.

Beginning January 15th, Lightning Strikes will begin with the release of Squad Conquest, a 16v16 mode, pitting two teams against each other in tactical combat. This gameplay mode will take place across the Arras, Rotterdam, and Hamada maps.
Joining this new game mode are a handful of new weapons to add to the arsenal for each unit class. Medics will gain access to the Zk-383 SMG, Recon with get the Mk. III bolt-action rifle, Assault will get along with the Modele 1944 semi-automatic rifle, and Support will get the M1922 MMG. Each of these weapons can be unlocked through weekly challenges.
Alongside these additions, a new Grand Operation will be coming to the Chapter 2 update: Battle of Hannut. Battle of Hannut will take place across the Belgian and French countryside. This region will be available in Airborne, Breakthrough, and Rush modes. A new co-operative mode, Combined Arms, will also be coming to this update in February with a limited time Rush event tacking place in March.
