Ashes of Creation Apocalypse Unleashed on Steam

Ashes of Creation Apocalypse

Ashes of Creation Apocalypse is about to launch a whole new round of testing and the carnage is coming to Steam users this August.

PC players of Intrepid’s Ashes of Creation prequel are about to get a whole new wave of destruction when the last man standing fantasy launches a new round of testing on 20 August at 11AM PDT. The Divine Gateways aren’t just opening to the existing legions of warriors either. Intrepid Studios has confirmed that Ashes last man standing experience is coming to Steam. In their latest announcement, the team behind this and the upcoming Ashes of Creation MMO detail the extent of the upcoming test.

Steaming Hot

The latest outing for the battle royale experience will be available to patch from 19 August, a few hours before the Ashes of Creation Apocalypse goes live. This should allow adventurers to patch and prepares for another round of fantasy battle royale. Ashes of Creation Apocalypse is a stand-alone game from the Intrepid team and acts as a testbed for much of the upcoming MMO’s combat and tech systems. With a slightly different twist on the classic fantasy tropes, players dropping into the world can equip weapons and armor that come with associated skills. The rest is down to the best trigger tome.

While we’ve already seen glimpses of game modes like Siege, this round of testing will unlock group and solo battle royale matches, allowing players to get into an arena and stress test the game’s combat scenarios. Opening up the latest testing phase seems to be an intentional move to blow open the gates and test Intrepid’s capability to handle a surge of players.

As we move forward with playtesting, we want to invite as many people as possible to push our back-end infrastructure to its limits, and Steam helps provide us with a platform where we can reach a broader community.

Anybody preloading the game on Steam will require an Intrepid account to get into game and lord over their enemies. All of this action comes at no cost, as a free to play arena, although there are additional cash shop purchases in place. The latest Intrepid blog had a full list of details as well as an extensive FAQ for players looking to get into the action in the next few days. You can head over to the official website or keep an eye out for the official Steam Store page when it arrives.
