Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Season 1 launches

Infinity Ward and Activision have announced that Call of Duty: Modern Warfare has been updated to bring Season 1 into the game for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. Season 1 comes with the first-ever Battle Pass in both free and premium (i.e. paid) versions. The Premium Battle Pass costs about $10 (1000 CoD Points).

With the Battle Pass, players can earn cosmetic rewards by progressing through participation in a number of milestone activities. As expected, the Premium Battle Pass includes more and exclusive cosmetics and a number of Call of Duty Points (the game’s real-world cash currency) that can be spent in the item shop that also launched with Season 1.

The in-game shop features a number of microtransaction items including Operator skins, charms, calling cards, stickers, and finishing moves. Players can also get their hands on Blueprints. Each of the items in the shop is available for a limited time. Prices range from 200 CoD Points (about $2) to 13,000 CoD Points (about $100).
