Logitech Announces Full HD, 60fps StreamCam

Full HD, Color Options, and more!

Peripheral powerhouse Logitech announces the next camera in their lineup of webcam offerings, the Logitech StreamCam. With a sleek design, color options, new connection type, and more, this camera is shaping up to be one you won’t want to miss.

Here is what we know about it so far:

The StreamCam promises a smooth 60 frames per second at 1080p (Full HD), a setting that, until this point, was only offered in Logitech’s premium 4K webcams. It will connect via USB 3.1 Gen 1 Type-C to secure those stable (and high) data transfer speeds and will have a variety of mounting options – including a universal monitor mount and tripod.

When paired with Logitech Capture, the StreamCam uses built-in AI to auto-focus the camera to keep the picture clear. The software will also assist with auto-framing, image stabilization, and enable Full HD vertical videos for Facebook and Instagram stories. Logitech has also stated that the StreamCam will support both Xsplit and OBS for live streaming. It will also be compatible with both Windows 10 and macOS.

“StreamCam is designed for today’s creators, making it easier than ever for people to share their passion with the world. Video has become a primary way for people to express themselves, and we’re designing products that help people create amazing content.” – Delphine Donne-Crock, general manager of Creativity and Productivity at Logitech.

This camera is set to be the new hotness in streaming webcams, but we will have to wait and see how it performs once we get our hands on it. For now, let us know what you think of the StreamCam. Is this the next step up for your streaming studio or Insta-story? Share with us in the comments!
