Legends Of Runeterra to Launch 30 April

Legends of Runeterra, the new card-based game from Riot Games, is set to launch at the end of this April.

We’ve barely crept into April and yet another game is set to foist itself upon our ever-dwindling time. Even if you’re lucky enough to be working without the commute right now the fact is it seems like the mountain of games available to play is getting even bigger. Legends of Runeterra is about to join that list as the well-received competitive card game from the team behind League of Legends is ready to launch for real. After an initial announcement back in October 2019, the card game took itself on the convention circuit and proceeded to enter beta testing. It’s been a swift jump form beta testing to full launch and you’ll be able to take on the title will hit iOS, Android, and PC on 30 April.

Prepare For Battle

For those of you that haven’t tried the beta quite yet, Legends of Runeterra is a competitive card game that takes many of the elements we’ve come to know fo the genre and melds them with the characters that LoL players have come to know and love. Taking place in a brand new world, Runeterra pits players against a range of PvP, PvE, and encounters that rarely feel like the static turn-based title of earlier CCGs. With a gorgeous aesthetic and dynamic, alternating combat full of opportunities to adapt and outplay, Runeterra is a place that we have been ready to explore ever since we got hands-on lat year.

Runeterra is just one of a swathe of new titles coming from Riot Games, which includes Valorant. To celebrate the launch and introduce new players to the concept, Riot has dropped a trailer which you can check out above.
