The use of computer games in the learning process of students

Computerization of our life has long been commonplace and has brought with it, along with the benefits, a lot of problems. One of the main problems associated with the computer is a significant strain on the eyesight. This in turn affects the general state of the pupil. The narrowing of the range of interests of the teenager, the desire to create his own world, escape from reality – social isolation and difficulties in interpersonal contacts are often pointed out as well.

This also applies to computer games, especially since children and teenagers are mostly addicted to them.

Very often there are reports in the media that children under the influence of computer games commit illegal actions. Questions about the dangers of computer games are often discussed and condemned by public opinion. Under the influence of this some parents strictly forbid to play computer games for their children, thus causing even more interest.

The positive effect of the computer on humans studied the example of computer games. They found that computer games develop rapid reaction time, fine motor skills, visual perception of objects, memory and attention, logical thinking, visual – motor coordination.

And computer games teach you to classify and summarize, think analytically in non-standard situations, to achieve their goals, to improve intellectual skills.

Games on the computer – it’s the same lesson, and the child is always easier to attract to the game than to force to learn the alphabet or, say, add numbers.

Beautifully drawn, fun and good children’s computer games are a lot of interesting, clever, funny and completely aimed at the kids to develop and improve their knowledge. A convenient and intuitive controls, and done by professional actors voice acting make every game a real holiday.

You can talk a lot about the benefits and harms of computers and computer games. However, a certain type of games are more harmful to humans, and vice versa is more useful and they balance each other. The harm or benefit of the computer and computer games is one of those questions that can not be answered unequivocally.
