Place Bricks but build connections when Common’hood, a heartfelt city builder, launches in November.

Plethora Project has just unveiled an upcoming city builder that inteds to do more than just keep the lights on. Common’hood is due to launch on Pc, via Steam, on 10 November when players can get to grips with a wholesome take on city sims. While fans of Construction Simulator, Cities Skylines, or even House Flipper have their own take on urban organization this is something unique.

Set in an abandoned factory, players need to forge a community within the confines of its walls by designing and building shelters and structures for those who’ve fallen on hard times. Players taking on the task will need to meet the need of your transient inhabitants. There will be plenty of freedom to do that, from faming food to adding autonomous robots, and more. Along the way, upgrade paths will unlock. These will allow builds to become even better and the scope of each community to grow.

Community is the key to this Common’hood. While ticking boxes and meeting quotas is great, forging relationships in this new neighborhood is key. Residents have their own demands and reactions to each interaction. Plethora has even added a co-op experience, allowing players to pull together and share their creations online. While we’ve not had a chance to drive by and have a peer inside this new community, the focus on interpersonal relationships makes Comon’hood an interesting idea.
