New Episodes of The Tick Out Today On Amazon Prime Video!

The next five new episodes of Ben Edlund’s The Tick, of an expected 10-episode full season, airs today on Amazon’s Prime service. The show is available exclusively for Amazon Prime subscribers in the United States, England, Japan, Germany and Austria. This brings the episode total to six as the pilot was available last year and has garnered 15,000+ views.

Unlike the previous Tick series that aired on Fox in the late ‘90s, the new series is far more dramatic than it is satirical. In an earlier interview this month with Polygon, Edlund said that he wanted to focus on the human drama and relationships that the Tick and Arthur develop instead of just making it a comedy.

Bill’s Note: I watched the full 6 episodes this AM. It’s a breezy 2-3 hours or so, and worth every second. Peter is amazing as Tick, and Arthur is perfect. The fact that they got Earle-Haley as The Terror is just aces. In 6 episodes, minus campy special effects, they’ve created mystery in the back stories, depth in the villains, and hilarious jokes are all over. DO WATCH. I can’t wait for the next four episodes.

About The Tick

The Tick centers on an underdog accountant with zero powers who comes to realize his city is owned by a global super villain long-thought dead. As he struggles to uncover this conspiracy, he falls in league with a strange blue superhero. Yara Martinez, who reprises her role from the pilot as Ms. Lint, co-stars alongside Peter Serafinowicz, Griffin Newman, Jackie Earle Haley, Valorie Curry and Brendan Hines.
