Despite the fact we’re barely a month into 2019, there have already been plenty of new games released on consoles, on PC, online and on mobile. According to Releases.com, there were a whopping 31 new games released in the first 10 days of this year alone. As you may be able to guess, not all of these releases are of high-quality and some aren’t even worth playing, but there have been a few that we think you might like.
The Aquatic Adventures of the Last Human
With so many games being released for the Nintendo Switch each and every day, it’s already difficult to choose just one from the 2019 line-up. There are already over a dozen new titles to choose from this year but we’ve managed to pick one that we think our readers will enjoy: The Aquatic Adventures of the Last Human. The YCJY release takes place on an Earth that has been devastated by climate change, and it is your job as the player to find out whether the ruins of our home planet can become habitable once more. Graphics are adorably old school, combat is rewarding and the need for upgrades will have you exploring the underwater world for hours.
Divine Dreams
From the iGaming software developers that brought us Treasure Island, Sakura Fortune and Mayana, comes Divine Dreams. Quickspin are known around the gaming industry for delivering high-quality slots with great graphics, sound design and bonus functions, and their mid-January release certainly didn’t disappoint. With 5-reels, 243 ways to win and a 96.51% RTP, Divine Dreams is already fulfilling fantasies at some of the largest iGaming platforms including Redbet online casino. From there, you’ll venture into the rainforests of Indonesia to meet the Goddess of Wealth and Prosperity herself, who will spin the Bonus Reel, offer up mystical multipliers and Divine Free Spins. You don’t have to be deity to play though, as Divine Dreams is playable from as little as £0.20 per spin.
Aftercharge
Available both on the PC and Xbox One, Aftercharge is Chainsawesome’s latest multiplayer-only, strategic first-person shooter, and it’s a lot of fun. In each round, two teams of three will be pitted against each other in an arena, however, instead of just pummelling each other with bullets, you’ll be forced to use strategy and, best of all, communicate with your teammates. That’s right: the days of mindlessly shooting and respawning are over! Even better, there are different kinds of characters, some of whom are completely invincible so you really will have to work as a team to get through Aftercharge alive. As if that wasn’t enough, there’s also a crucial feature named Orbital Strikes, which are bombings that start ten minutes into the game and continue for every minute until the end of the game.
So, whether you’re a console gamer, an online player or a PC fanatic, there’s at least one new game that you can try out right now. Of course, let us know if there are any other new releases that you think we need to know about by telling us about them in the comments below.
