Riot’s fighting 2XKO, previously known as Project L, is back with the first gameplay video. The star of the trailer is the Kraken Priestess Illaoi, ready to spread her teachings in this Bilgewater tavern, throwing some hands if needed.
At the moment, not much is known about the game, but it is going to change pretty soon. 2XKO features a slick graphics style with smooth 2v2-based gameplay. Visit Riot at EVO Japan 2024 to play Illaoi in the newest demo and try it out for yourself.
The developers previously noted that 2023 was all about being in heads-down mode with a valuable check in at EVO. 2024, however, will be about getting the community involved with events, updates, and maybe even some at-home playtesting later this year.
The team aims to launch in 2025 on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S & PC. Check out the official site to find out more.
Illaoi is one of the most unique Riot characters. Her powerful physique and indomitable faith set her aside from the mass. As the prophet of the Great Kraken, she uses a huge, golden idol to rip her foes’ spirits from their bodies and shatter their perception of reality. All who challenge the “Truth Bearer of Nagakabouros” soon discover Illaoi never battles alone—the god of the Serpent Isles fights by her side.
In addition to being present in the main League of Legends, she also played an important role in Ruined King.
