HoYoverse has announced that a Honkai Impact 3rd x Honkai: Star Rail Collab is coming to mobile and big screens imminently.
Barely a month after announcing the turn-based RPG Honkai Star Rail will get a collaboration with Fate Stay/Night, the team behind a series of hit otaku adventures dropped another bombshell. This time it brings the of two HoYo hits to screen in a crossover event that has fans of both titles hyped for a Honkai Impact 3rd x Honkai: Star Rail collab.
News of the upcoming crossover dropped across social feeds and the Honkai impact 3rd YouTube over the weekend. The in-game action is set to being during the Honkai Impact 3rd v7.9 update, with full behind-the-scenes coverage premiering on 19 September. This means we only have a few days to wait and see what this means for players. For now, most oof our speculation centres on the bombastic, and deliberately tongue in cheek, trailer. Featuring depictions of the central characters clashing, Welt being sent home, and other major faces from both games, the teaser also drops one other big hint. Closing out the trailer, both game logos borrow iconography form each other, suggesting that this won’t just be a one-way track.
This isn’t the first crossover that Honkai Impact 3rd has hosted. Back in 2021, Genshin Impact’s Fischl and Keqing appeared in universe. This gave Fischl a dedicated story arc, and players got the first dedicated archer in game. Aside from being a fun intermission, this continues to cement my own head cannon that the Astral Express isn’t just traversing space at this point. For those of you that want top find out what happens, keep an eye out for more here or over on the official Honkai Impact 3rd website.
