A New World: Aeternum Open Beta Begins in September

Amazon Games just announced a New World: Aeternum Open Beta beginning on 13 September, on Pc, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S.

Everybody is welcome to Aeternum next month. Amazon Games just announce that its console capable shared adventure is about to welcome everyone to its shores. Starting on September 13 at 9am PT and running until September 16 at 9am PT, New World: Aeternum is free for players to try out. Anybody from North and South America, Europe, and APAC regions with a compatible PC or console can log in and play through until level 30.

While this news might seem a bit confusing to anybody already in Aeternum, this isn’t an MMORPG port. Amazon Games’ premier MMORPG will continue to run. This is a shared world RPG, bringing players to a familiar shoreline in search of adventure. It features most of the content you might remember from the original new World launch and first major expansion, but with some significant changes. The release as an RPG means that it can be played solo and most of the in-game systems have been overhauled for console and cross play. It’s a confusing sounding mix, but also the first chance players will have to find out what corruption lies at the heart of Amazon’s mythical island.

The Open Beta test will introduce the starter experience, as well as mounts, arenas and some of the game’s dungeon styled expeditions. Along the way, players will be able to grab a number of rewards that will carry over into the full launch. If you’re on the fence or just want to finalise your new build before taking on the Angry Earth, then check out more on the official blog post now.

Now, you will find me squawking across a multitude of sites and even getting to play games now and then
