Daedalic Entertainment just announced that The Lord of the Rings Gollum is getting more polish time and will be delayed for a few months.
Announced late last night as a press release from developer Deadalic and publisher Nacon, the news that this very different adventure in the LOTR universe isn’t entirely bad. While game delays are never the first choice for fans, the team behind this less than heroic side quest are pushing back the release to give this ring a bit more work over the extra few months. In the aforementioned press release, Deadalic confirmed that:
in order to deliver the best possible experience, we have decided to push the release of The Lord of the Rings: Gollum™ by a few months. We’ll update with an exact timing in the near future.
A post over on social media also confirmed this to fans

While we don’t have an official release date right now, we do know that this solo outing for Gollum follows the wretched creature as it chases the only thing that matters to it, the singular Ring of Poe. This narrative driven adventure deles into the history of this anti hero, from his time as a slave below the Dark Tower to his stay with the Elves of Mirkwood. Along the way you’ll use stealth, agility and cunning to survive the challenges and dangers that await. While Gollum might not be a skilled warrior, there are plenty of cunning ways to be tricksy. External threats aren’t all that await either. Players will need to contend with two personalities. Whether you listen to the vicious and cunning Gollum or the more amenable Sméagol Is entirely up to you. You can check out more on The Lord of the Rings: Gollum over on the official Steam Store page before it arrives on PC, Xbox, and PlayStation platforms.
