Assassin’s Creed: Maps Size Comparison (Including Odyssey & Valhalla)

A fan named Dimitris Galatas has made a video showing a size comparison of the key locations of the games of Assassin’s Creed series, including AC Odyssey and AC Valhalla.

A comparison video of the size of some of the biggest maps from each Assassin’s creed game (More maps like ac3 and black flag were added), including the map for Assassin’s Creed:Odyssey (the map size of AC: Odyssey was calculated based on in-game footage and maps it’s not yet confirmed by Ubisoft)

For some of the older games I used info from this Forum (and measured them eventually and they are accurate) where you can see detailed comparisons from almost every map in the games.

Here’s the list, from the smallest to the largest:

  • AC1: Damascus – 0.13km2
  • AC2: Florence – 0.30km2
  • AC2: Venice – 0.37km2
  • AC3: New York – 0.93km2
  • AC Revelations: Constantinople – 0.94km2
  • AC Brotherhood: Rome – 1.41km
  • AC3: Frontier – 1.41km2
  • AC Unity: Paris – 2.40km2
  • AC Syndicate: London – 3.70km2
  • AC Rogue: North Atlantic Sea – 70km2
  • AC Origins: Egypt – 80km2
  • AC Valhalla: Norway – 22kmsea included; England – 120kmsea included
  • AC Odyssey: Greece – 130km, 256 kmsea included
  • AC Black Flag: Caribbean – 235km2

On the topic of AC Odyssey, PCGamesN has reached out to Ubisoft to find out why the female protagonist, Kassandra, has been featured rather poorly, despite the big thing of the upcoming game being the ability to choose the gender of your character as well as the woman being the canonical hero. Up to very recently, all screenshots of the game have featured the male counterpart, Alexios, as well as the header image for the game and the sole focus of the box art.

Additionally, the site points out, you can scroll all the way to the bottom of the page to find a separate statue of Kassandra that’s available for purchase but to get there, you’ll have to go past a £659.99 special edition Alexios figurine.

Ubisoft has responded with:

As metadata had to be sent some time before the official reveal, some retail pages will not showcase the full selection of assets. Store pages will, however, be updated throughout the course of the campaign to include new assets that reflect both our leading characters, as featured at the announce of Assassin’s Creed Odyssey across all our asset packs.
