There is a new game on Steam with over four THOUSAND achievements. Achievement hunters may have met their match and, according to Kotaku, it’s not even a good game, just a busy one.
Achievement Hunters may even lose it on this one
There is a certain segment of gaming “society” that loves to collect achievements including speed running times, etc. But this game, Running Through Russia, boggles the mind and offends with gross stereotypes.
The idea of the game is simple: Chug vodka and jump over bears. That’s it. It features poor graphics, lousy controls as well as simply not being fun in any way.
That said, the early access version of the game sports 4,096 achievements including the brilliantly named “new_achievement_1_10” and so forth. Even single jumps rewarded multiple achievements. Finishing a run pats players on the back as well as provides a virtual fireworks display of achievements earned.
It’s bizarre. It’s funny. It’s… still not worth a cent of your money. But man, 4,096 achievements. Like sure, I guess? I mean, if developers are allowed to do it, why not? Good luck naming them, developer person. The road ahead of you is a long one. Watch out for bears.
