Xbox Game Studios, TiMi Studio Group, and World’s Edge have announced that Age of Empires Mobile will launch on October 17th for both iOS and Android mobile devices. Strategy fans will be pleased with the development team’s commitment to a “fresh and innovative experience” for the series. While not a direct port of the original game, this version brings elements from past titles in combination with new, mobile-specific gameplay features to on-the-go players.
Developers will be on hand during Gamescom to allow fans to check out the game for themselves. Players can also register ahead of the launch to keep up with news regarding the launch. Registrations are being accepted on the App Store and Google Play.
