Minecraft has been around for some time now, and it’s still one of the most popular games online today. One great thing about Minecraft is how open-ended it is. What if you’re new to Minecraft? Even if it’s been around for a while, new players are joining it all the time. That means some of you might just want a few simple tips to get started.
Minecraft can also be fun for the whole family and there are lots of different ways to play the game. But in this article, we’re going to look at a few keys tips to get started if you’re completely new to it. This guide might not be for you if you’ve been playing for a while, but it’s useful to complete Minecraft newbies. We all had to start somewhere, right?
Remember that Minecraft is just one of many ways to have fun online. Some people have even made money from it by making their own server or even winning on competitive online servers. Some people prefer other ways to have fun and try and get some money back online (playing at online casinos and betting sites) like with sport site Nostrabet and other online gambling ventures. But Minecraft is fun and simple and could be what you’ve been looking for.
Getting started in Minecraft
The first thing you need to do is get some tools together and a simple crafting table.
Getting tools is not terribly difficult. Start by breaking the nearest tree with your hand. Take the wood and put it in your 4 square crafting table when you press “e”. This will create wood plants. Now put one plank each in the four squares, this will create a crafting table which you’ll need. Don’t worry about keeping it secure, just make one quickly.
You need to get a few things sorted before your first night, where it will get dark and you might not have the armor needed to survive the monsters. Place some more wood plants one above another in an I formation to get sticks. Now you can make a wooden pick which is made from two sticks and then 3 pieces of wood across the top in your crafting table.
You can make a shovel which is just one piece of wood plank in the middle at the top. Lots of these recipes can be found in the help book in the game or online. We won’t use this article for recipes, so look them up to get started. You will learn many of these easily.
Dig down in the dirt and make some steps underground. Use your shovel in dirt/grass and then your pickaxe in stone. Upgrade your pickaxe to a stone one, then when you find iron ore, to an iron one.
You’ll need a furnace and coal or charcoal to smelt the iron ore into iron, then create iron tools. These will do for a while. Pressing f3 will show you what level you are at. If you mine at level 11 you will be most likely to find diamonds, which create the best tools. But use iron for now.
For your first night, make some torches and an indoor area, with a door if you want. If you can find wool to make a bed, you can skip night-time and wake up in the morning if you sleep on it. That’s a good way to avoid the first night before going out.
You can then make chests and collect and store materials before you start finding more important items.
In short, that’s how you get started on Minecraft. Once you’ve mastered these simple steps, you’re well on your way to making your mark in the game!
