Anamorphine Takes A Look At Mental Health Problems

Anamorphine is an upcoming surreal exploration game of Artfact 5 studio.  The developers describe it as “somewhere between what you might call a walking simulator and an adventure game”. You play as Tyler, a man in post-traumatic denial, who has to go through the milestones of his relationships with his wife Elena – an accomplished cellist who falls victim to an accident that robs her of her livelihood and emotional outlet. Tyler struggles with his guilt and inability to help her as she quietly slips into depression.  You can find out more through the game’s Steam page.

Portal Noclip had an interview with Samantha Cook of Artifact 5 in which they discussed the importance of raising the topic of depression, trauma and other aspects of mental health in video games. You can find it above.
