A new Anby character demo teaser just went live, giving us a look at the sword wielding face of Zenless Zone Zero.
HoYoverse, the anime fuelled studio behind Genshin Impact and Honkai Star Rail, just dropped a new character demo for upcoming action adventure Zenless Zone Zero. Anybody watching the ramp up in activity in new Eridu will probably be familiar with the face of the latest teaser. Anby Demara, a member of the infamous odd job agency Cunning Hares, gets a full character demo today. You can check out 3 minutes of Anby’s melee first approach to Hollow corruption in the new trailer, above. The new glimpse of Anby’s abilities highlights a mix of athletic footwork and a powerful sword swinging series of attacks. While basic attacks are focused around causing melee damage, the ‘Thnderbolt Silhouette’ can apply electric damage and take down the biggest foes using counters, perfect timing, and special attacks.
This is just the latest teaser for Zenless Zone Zero and follows on from the Anby intro back in November. It also completes trio of teasers, joining Billy and Nicole’s character demos. While Anby might be the most stoic of this group, we were still blown away by the fluid action combat when we got hands on at Gamescom 2023. HoYo’s latest title might not seems like an obvious follow on from the high fantasy outings of recent times, but Zenless Zone Zero still has us intrigued. The sci-fi action RPG drops players into the last bastion of civilization for humanity. What seems like a near future urban environment is plagued by reality twisting tears, called Hollows. With only a few skilled Proxies able to navigate these resource rich appearances there’s sure to be trouble. That is where you’ll find Anby, Billy, Nicole, and a host of other gacha rewards battling it out with corrupt monsters.
