Animal Crossing: New Horizons to Receive a New DLC Expansion

Animal Crossing: New Horizons players let off a rousing cheer late last week with the announcement that the game will be receiving a brand new expansion. Nintendo announced the Happy Home Paradise paid DLC expansion that will let players join up with Lottie and the Paradise Planning team. As part of that new “job”, plyers will be able to travel to a brand new chain of islands to begin to design vacation homes, island facilities, and tons of other fun new ways to create and personalize their experience in the game. Happy Home Paradise will be launching for $24.99 on November 5th for Nintendo Switch.

In addition, all players will receive a free game update that will enrich their island life that will also launch on November 5th. Players will find new characters coming to visit from the Animal Crossing series including Brewmaster who is willing to open a cafe on the second floor of the museum, and Kapp’n who will set sail with players for new islands to discover. New shops will include Katrina’s fortune-telling shop and players will be able to learn cooking and gain the ability to grow vegetables. Developers have also promised tons of other customizations and features.

“With all this new content, we can’t wait for players to rediscover the vibrant world of Animal Crossing: New Horizons and enjoy new opportunities for relaxation and self-expression,” said Nick Chavez, Nintendo of America’s Senior Vice President of Sales, Marketing, and Communications. “For daily players, returning residents and newcomers alike, we hope both Animal Crossing: New Horizons – Happy Home Paradise and the free update bring more experiences to your personal island paradise for a long time to come.”
