Another Sight Coming to Consoles in June

Another Sight

Another Sight, the surreal fantasy adventure form Lunar Great Wall Studios first introduced me to Hodge the cat back in 2018. Now, publisher Toplitz has just confirmed that this adventure is about to see the light of day on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch.

Launching onto PlayStation 4 and Xbox One 18 June, Another sight follows the story of protagonist Kit and her accident. Waking after an unfortunate fall, she finds herself in the underworld of Victorian London. As her sight escapes her, she must wander through the gloom that radiates around these tunnels with the help of Hodge the cat. As Kit and her mysterious kitty companion traverse the challenges that lie before them, players can utilize Hodge’s unique feline abilities to navigate the surreal world that awaits.

Another Sight takes a novel approach to visualizing the underworld. Without her sight Kit is able to see in more ways than you might expect. Draped in gorgeous visuals, Kit’s world encompasses six distinct environments. From Monet inspired watercolors to more realist animation, Another sight is a visual feast. Even in the gloomiest holes, the tick of clock and rush of the underground train light up the shadows around Kit.

Taking clear inspiration from narratives like Neil Gaiman’s Neverwhere, this platform puzzler forces players to think on their feet, be it two or four. The narrative is endearing, and the world is truly quite unique. You can experience this adventure on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One 18 June. In addition, Hodge and Kit will come to Nintendo’s Switch at a later date. Finally, anybody who missed the initial PC release can load it up on their system as Another sight comes to PC retailers at the same time as it launches on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.

Now, you will find me squawking across a multitude of sites and even getting to play games now and then
