The newest AOC C27G2Z3 monitor will hit shelves soon and it includes a 280Hz refresh rate at a surprisingly low price point.
Agon by AOC gets yet another monitor in its long lineup of recent refreshes and this time gamers looking for speed at a budget will want to take note. The new AOC C27G2Z3/BK will hit around £199.99, and include a FHD display that can be cranked all the way up to a 280Hz refresh rate.
Speed is of the essence for this new display, including up to 1 ms GtG and 0.5 ms MPRT response times. This comes crammed into a high-contrast Fast VA panel that is curved to 1500R. That curvature envelopes owners in their game world, whether it’s heading to the jungle in the latest MOBA or running and gunning. Overdrive settings allow it to reach a lightning-fast 1 ms GtG response time, and we would hope that motion blur is pretty much eliminated with the integrated Adaptive-Sync technology, backlight strobing tech, and motion blur reduction features.
The C27G2Z3 isn’t going to wow with its scale. 27 inches is a great size for this price point, but it does top off at FHD. Despite this, the VA panel manages a high contrast ratio of 4000:1, ensuring deep blacks and vibrant colors. It even manages HDR10 compliance, if you want to try it out.
As we’d expect from an AOC device, the C27G2Z3/BK features a sturdy and adjustable stand with 130 mm height adjustment, tilt, and swivel functionality, allowing users to find the perfect viewing angle for their setup. The monitor’s slim bezels and sleek design make it an attractive addition to any gaming space, while its VESA mount compatibility offers additional flexibility for wall mounting or multi-monitor setups.
