EA and Respawn Entertainment have announced that the next Apex Legends in-game event will be starting this week. The Beast of Prey Collection event is expected to run from Tuesday, September 20th through Monday, October 3rd. During the time it will be live, players will be able to enjoy several activities to unlock special cosmetics.
Players can take on squads of three in a race to master an array of weapons. As players kill others, they’ll receive the next weapon in the track. Playing as a team, the goal is to quickly unlock the most powerful weapons possible. The event also includes infinite ammo, health items, and automatic respawns to keep things interesting. The final weapon in the track is a new exclusive throwing knife, which will be available in the firing range for practice during the event. Work together as a team and be the first squad to score a kill with the throwing knife to win the match!
During Beast of Prey, players can unlock limited-time cosmetics. These include 24 themed items “designed to instill fear in whoever the prey may be”. There are Legendary Skins for several characters including Horizon, Lifeline, Loba, Fuse, Pathfinder, Octane, and Rampart. These items can be purchased for Apex Coins or Crafting Metals. They can also be obtained from Beast of Prey Event Apex Packs during the event.
Those who are working to complete their Battle Pass will earn 1,600 points per day with challenges refreshing each day as well. This allows players to complete multiple challenges at once.
The Store will be updated with new bundles. These include the Healing Huntress Bundle, Frozen Carnage Bundle, and the Cloud Marauder Bundle. The Wave Shift Bundle will also be available a bit later in the event.
