Aragami 2 Is Sneaking Onto PC & Console

Aragami 2, the sequel to Lince Works’ stealth-action original, is sneaking onto PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series S/X, and PC on 17 September 2021.

Just announced by Lince Works and set to return to the world of Aragami, the second instalment of this stealth action title is due to bring the terror of the Akatsuchi Empire right into your front rooms. While the first Aragami was a stylish mix of shadowy takedowns and some sneaky puzzles, the follow up is set to improve upon the original with enhanced stealth mechanics, and an all-new strategic combat system. The brand new trailer gives us a glimpse of the potential upgrades on show in Aragami 2.

For players less interested in the lore of this mystical ninja, you’ll face the incoming terror of the Akatsuchi Empire as it marches through the land towards the peaceful Rashomon Valley. Players taking on these overwhelming forces will utilise the Aragami and their dark powers to push back this imminent threat.

“We’ve grown a lot since working on the original game and, as a larger studio, we have an opportunity to realize all the full potential of Aragami with this sequel,” explains David León, game director at Lince Works. “One of the things that we are truly excited about is the new combat system which not only gives existing fans a new way to play but welcoming new players with a more intense gameplay experience in Aragami 2.”

While we’re still waiting on a more hands-on breakdown of what to expect, you still have time to check out our opinion on the very first Aragami. Me, I and can’t wait to see how many more of these mystical warriors get an outing. Anybody who feels the same way can grab Aragami when it launches digitally on 17 September. Pre-orders for Aragami 2 are also open now on Steam ($34.99 / €34.99 / £29.99) and players can take advantage of a 15% off discount before launch.
