Studio Wildcard has great holiday goodies for ARK – Survival Evolved players with this week’s update. In addition to the arrival of the annual Winter Wonderland celebration, players also received a big free update with the addition of the Lost Island mod as an official map for the game. The new content launched simultaneously on all platforms and is now available for PC, PlayStation, and Xbox players.
Lost Island offers players tons of new ways to engage with the game across a new huge 150 sq km map that features new biomes, new challenges, and mysterious ruins. In addition, players will have an opportunity to tame a trio of new dinos: Amargasaurus, Sinomacrops, and the Dinopithecus. Players can “unleash thermal hell from atop the Amargasaurus, glide into battle with Sinomacrops, or treat enemies to a shower of Tek-disabling Dinopithecus dung”.
RaptorClaus will be sailing across the star-filled night sky in his sleigh, dropping off presents filled with high-end loot as well as Mistletoe, and Coal for those naughty Survivors. Catch RaptorClaus flying across the skies at midnight (in-game time) on all maps. GachaClaus has also returned, looking for eager recipients, accepting coal and mistletoe in exchange for holiday-themed gifts such as a full-body Santa costume, new skins, weapons, armor, or 5 new Chibis!
