ARK: Survival Evolved players have a ton of new content to explore thanks to the launch of the Genesis expansion. According to the dev team, Genesis Part 1 will challenge all players throughout a new storyline unlike any other in the game’s history. The expansion is part of the game’s Season Pass that can be purchased for $34.99. The Season Pass will also include Genesis Part 2 that is expected to launch in late 2020.
Here are some of the core features of Genesis Part 1:
- Players wake up in a virtual simulation with their brand new HLN-A companion. This is a fully-voiced guide that will help players progress through missions, tasks, and provide story clues.
- Players will explore new locations in biomes including bogs, underwater trenches, mountain peaks, and “even the unstable low-gravity surface of an alien moon”.
- New creatures are out there to fight and tame. This includes sea turtles, “shape-shifting furries”, whales, “fireball shooting Magmasaurs” and more.
- There are new crafting opportunities and projects. Players will create tools, build structures, and more.
