Build you own adventure in the Arknights: Endfield Beta Test Right Now
Talos-II is open for a new adventure, but only for a short time. Gryphline just kicked off the Arknights: Endfield Beta test. If you were lucky enough to get an invite it’s time to download and log into, get a look ahead at what awaits in this unique mix of action adventure RPG and base building. Players will be able to venture out to an unexplored alien world, unravel its mysteries, and begin to build a new home for humanity between now and an unannounced end date.
Players who signed up for the latest pre-launch phase can check their status a number of ways. Emails went out ahead of testing but even if the spam folder looks a little intimidating, you can check out your access status on the official website. Anybody who scored a log will get a chance to experience a whole new set of updates to the game, expanding on the early hands on we got at Gamescom 2024.
New Content and Characters
Familiar faces from previous testing phases and show floor will feel different as things get closer to launch across PC, console, and mobile. 15 playable characters, including two Endministrators (one of which is a new playable Endministrator) and 13 playable characters appear. 6 of the characters are entirely new, and the remainder see significant changes and improvements across the board.
The changes include a new tweaked combo system, allowing new and powerful follow ups and chain attacks, while the dodge system can be experienced to improve the flow of encounters. These features also combine with further skill changes and a deeper progressions system to make the overall experience better all round. Base Building is the other major facet of Arknights, giving players a little bit of Factorio. Gather resources out in the world, setup constructions, and process all the resources you need to build a new civilization on Talos-II. The newest updates to the base building option include:
- Guides have been added to help players master the base construction system.
- New tower defense-style buildings that support both offensive and defensive operations.
- Expanded Construction Areas: Unlike the previous test, where factories could only be built in the central Hub Area, other maps now feature outposts where players can establish and expand their factories.
Arknights: Endfield, published by Gryphline, is a captivating blend of gacha action- RPG and construction. It transports players to the uncharted alien world of Talos-II and mixes a captivating storyline with a relatively grounded aesthetic and a cool base building system. After an initial announcement, it is due to land on multiple platforms and stand out among the glut of gacha games when it launches soon.
