One of the original creators of Super Meat Boy has announced his new game. Called ‘The End is Nigh’, players take the part of Ash, a “super blobby thing”. We can’t make this stuff up.
Ash, the super blobby thing
The End is Nigh is a platformer with the main character, one of the few “things” that survived, flopping his way through life. It’s a future, according to the description, filled with pain and suffering as well as one rife with stress. He will encounter “endless swarms of decaying, mutant animal-like creatures”. The player’s job is to help him literally make a friend out of all the parts and pieces of people he finds.
The End is Nigh is a sprawling adventure platformer where you die a lot. But that’s OK because you are probably already dead anyway.
Other features of the game include:
- 600+ levels
- 12+ chapters to explore
- 20+ collectible mini game cartridges
- 80+ achievements
- hundreds of collectible tumors
- hidden secrets, nooks and crannies
- stress
There’s…not a whole lot more to say other than to check out the video as well as head over to The End is Nigh Steam page. Look forward to meeting Ash on July 12th.
