Ubisoft is all set to get a new entry in its time-twisting franchise and Assassin’s Creed Valhalla is getting Vikings.
After plenty of rumour and speculation, we finally know that Assassin’s Creed is getting a new entry in the long-running franchise and the series will drop back into the middle ages when Viking’s ruled the seas of northern Europe. The setting and theme for the latest Assassin’s Creed game was unveiled during a recent Twitch Stream by artist BossLogic. The official unveiling was performed as the host painted a scene depicting the much-anticipated title.
The Trailer Lands Today
Now, Ubisoft is set to release a full trailer for the new Valhalla title. The trailer goes live today at 8 am PDT, that’s 5 pm Central European time. Gamers eager to get a better glimpse of the incoming Viking invasion will need to keep an eye out on social media channels, and probably Twitch, for the first full glimpse.
Based on the depiction of Valhalla from yesterday’s Twitch painting, it is likely we can expect a mix of land and sea action from the latest Assassin’s Creed game. It also looks like the title will land somewhere in Britain around the end of the Viking raids on the British coastline, with the stone castles shown in the background only arriving on the green and pleasant land after 1066. This is all, speculation however and artistic licence is subject to its own rules.
Beyond this, we don’t know a great deal about these Vikings. We do know that you’ll be able to find out more on the official Assassin’s Creed Valhalla website later today, where you can also watch the new trailer.
