Developer Dark Pigeon Games and publisher ESDigital Games have shared the release date trailer for the upcoming 2D metroidvania Awaken – Astral Blade. You play as biotic girl Tania, assigned to search and rescue a missing Investigation Force in the rainforest of Horace Islands where mysterious Karpas energy turns local animals and plants into aggressive mutants.
While carrying out her duties, Tania discovers the centuries-old remains of the Eternity civilization deep in the rainforest. She also manages to track the source of the abnormal energy behind the mutations. In the mysterious ancient ruins, you will embark on an adventure with Tania to reveal her origins and fate. Is there any chance of survival in this darkest and desperate place, though?
The game releases on October 22. The developers promise awesome and exciting combat, rich plot with various endings to achieve, customizable & upgradeable skills and abilities, and more.
