Bake ‘N Switch the manic bun battling multiplayer is set to launch a Kickstarter on 5 May. Players who took a brief look at Bake ‘N Switch before the recent lockdown can finally prepare their ovens for adventure and the icing on the cake is some super new stretch goals. The 4-player co-op, PvP, and team challenges that are set to arrive on PC and Nintendo Switch this summer is raising the game and plans to increase the initial scope, adding online multiplayer action to the title.

“The personal connections we formed with new fans at PAX East were eye-opening for us,” said Stefan Baier, COO of Streamline Games. “The game is ready now and should be shared with more players. We hope to achieve that through our online campaign.”

With the current pandemic scenario, more than ever, players are working and living apart, and getting ouch co-op up and running isn’t a simple scenario for gamers. With this in mind, it seems pretty obvious that the upcoming Kickstarter would add in multiplayer as an option.

“Streamline acknowledges that now, more than ever, people are turning to video games to provide entertainment and connect them with family and friends,” said Alexander Fernandez, CEO of publisher Streamline Media Group. “Playing apart, together is our shared global reality, and the team has rallied behind the idea of bringing multiplayer to Bake ‘n Switch. We wanted to bring back the joy of playing together, and we can’t wait for players to join.”

For any of you that didn’t grab a sweet taste of Bake ‘N Switch before now then, Bake ‘N Switch is a multiplayer arena battler that takes plenty of inspiration from your local bakery and games like Gang Beasts. Similar to Coatsink’s Cake Bash, players who eventually grab Bake n Switch can grab a bun and battle as a brightly colored baked good across a range of arena challenges later this year. Check out the Kickstarter page for more details on 5 May.
