During last night’s Bethesda Showcase ahead of this week’s E3, the company rocked the house with the announcement of Starfield. This is the first new, original IP in over 25 years for Bethesda.
There are only a few things we can glean from the minute-long trailer, most notably that the action will be taking place in outer space.
The trailer describes it thus: “Discover Starfield, the new space epic currently in development by Bethesda Game Studios. Starfield is the first new franchise in twenty-five years from the acclaimed developers of The Elder Scrolls and Fallout series”.
That’s pretty much it, though it’s possible that we’ll learn more during E3.
