Bethesda Gives $5 In Premium Currency to Owners of $200 Fallout 76 Power Armor Edition To Apologize

Fallout 76 Power Armor Edition Canvas Nylon Bag

One of the Fallout 76 editions, namely the Power Armor Edition that cost its owners whopping $200, was said to have a Fallout 76 themed military style canvas bag (you can see it in the picture above). However, the bag turned out to be nylon. Check out this Imgur post for full details!

To sum it up, the bag shown (and described) in the overview of the Power Armor Edition was a prototype used for promoting and was actually too expensive to make so the company switched to cheaper nylon. Sorry not sorry, nothing to do about it now.

The description has since been changed to feature nylon bag but the original promotional picture remains.

The fans were understandably upset with this revelation that seems like a blatant bait and switch, especially coming on the heels of other Fallout 76 problems.

Bethesda has since issued an apology. All owners of Power Armor Edition (who provide proof of their purchase) will receive 500 Atoms – the game’s premium currency. The amount given roughly equals $5. According to VG247, it won’t even be enough to buy a skin that’s wearing the canvas bag in the game – that would require an extra 200 Atoms.
