If you’re waiting anxiously for any word about The Last of Us 2, you probably scour the internet on a daily basis. Going forward, however, you may want to be careful. Thanks to a leak straight out of developer Naughty Dog, a ton of spoilers about TLOU2 are out and about in the wild.
According to more than a few places that we will not link here, there are videos showcasing cutscenes and gameplay as well as information about a number of crucial scenes from the game. While most of the videos have been removed from YouTube by Sony due to copyright violations, there are still plenty of sites that are linking them from other locations. Add in a piping hot serving of social media discussions and you have the recipe to spoil the game completely.
The bottom line is this: If you don’t want the game spoiled, mind where you’re browsing for information about the game.
What makes this leak so tempting is that there is no definitive word when the game will be released. You may remember earlier this month that Naughty Dog and Sony announced that the game would not make its May 29th release date even though the game is in its final stages of development. While developers are hopeful that it “won’t be a long delay”, the intervening days have not provided any further information about when the game might be out.
Again, if you’re hoping to avoid spoilers about The Last of Us 2, you may want to simply steer clear of any mention in your usual haunts.
