Beyond a Steel Sky, the spiritual successor to Beneath a Steel Sky is coming to console owners’ libraries on 30 November.
Coming to PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch next week, this follow up to the classic adventure game Beneath Steel Sky is almost upon us. Fans of the original have already had an opportunity to reunite with protagonist Robert Foster as this new adventure ventures out to one of the last mega cities left in the world.
Following the trail of an abducted child, players will step out to bring this youngster home, delving into the backstreets and high rises of Union City. Along the way, plenty of unusual characters will crop up, each with their own motivations and stories. Whether Robert chooses to help or subvert them, is entirely up to you. With tons of narrative options, a unique hacking tool, and plenty of problems Union City is a vast metropolis brimming with adventure.
This expansive 3D adventure thriller comes to consoles courtesy of Revolution Software and publisher Microids. The work of Charles Cecil, creator of the Broken Sword series, and the art direction of Dave Gibbons, legendary comic book artist behind Watchmen, is a huge draw to this title and seems to craft a world that is more Fallout than Cyberpunk 2077. While PC players can already grab this game over on Steam, console owners can keep themselves occupied with the latest developer diary leading up to this console release. You can pick up Beyond a Steel Sky on digital storefronts on 30 November, while UK retail stores will get a physical release on 7 December. Just in time for a different kind of festive getaway.
