The charming multiplayer puzzle game Biped is set to jump onto the Nintendo Switch and it is coming on 2 July.
Get set to grab a partner and march out into adventure as cute robots set out on a quest to save the world. Biped already launched on Playstation 4 and PC to critical acclaim and now Nintendo owners will get a chance to walk the walk. Developed by Next Studios and published by Meta Publishing, this new on the go version will put players in the guise of a cute robot sent down to Earth to repair lost signals and save the planet from chaos.
Biped is, however, more suited to bringing a partner. Switch owners can break off Joycons and split the work as players teach the two bots, Aku and Sila, to stride around a range of environments from frozen tundra to jungle gardens. Players will need to control the robot’s two legs using two sticks or left and right mouse buttons. This allows you to perform various moves—from simple walking and sliding to more advanced actions, like operating machinery or cutting wood.
“In these trying times, we’re very happy to make a game that brings people together. Biped is the kind of game that you can play with anyone! Grab a friend, a roommate, a sibling, or a parent and have fun working with each other to progress. The Switch makes it even easier to play together with its detachable Joycons and portable screens. We encourage everyone to stay safe, find someplace cosy, and enjoy our game!”, says Ilya Salamatov, CEO of META publishing.
We absolutely adored Biped when we stumbled across it earlier in the year and cant wait to see how this new Switch setup handles this brilliant physics puzzler. Check out the trailer for Biped before it hits Switch on 2 July.
