Black Geyser: Couriers of Darkness Launches March 17

Hold Onto Your Valuables, Black Geyser: Couriers of Darkness, a grim CRPG full of old school monsters and a greedy gang of misfits, is set to land on PC and Apple Macs later this month.

Brought to life by developer GrapeOcean Technologies and published by V Publishing, Black Geyser might have first caught our eye back on June 2021, but now we know that this ode to old school CRPGs will finally make its way out of the Steam Early Access program on 17 March. Anybody who has been eyeing this little treasure can pick it up on both the Steam Store and GoG for $34.99 or local equivalent, but there seems to be plenty of content for that price tag.

Taking inspiration from the likes of Baldur’s Gate and Icewind Dale, Black Geyser is a familiar looking isometric tale of dungeons and danger. Taking place in a world ravaged by war and just beginning to enjoy the peace, adventurers will find trouble brewing once more and the shadow of ancient dark gods hanging over the horizon. Anybody venturing into this world will be able to pick from 5 playable races including Human, Dwarf, Elf, Feldegug, and Rillow, as well as 13 distinct classes. The 300,000 words of hand-crafted narrative that span this domain should allow plenty of ways to play, as old and new players take on 20 huge updates that have built upon the time in early access testing.

The full launch of Black Geyser provides the perfect opportunity for players who are old hands at this to take on a mechanic that seems entirely unique to Black Geyser. With the Isilmerald and Northern Realms plagued by a curse of greed, anybody setting out with a party best keep their valuables close and watch their back. Every action taken can impact a character’s Greed, potentially sewing mistrust or ending up with an arrow in the back. Take care of yourself and check out the new trailer up above or find out more over on the official Steam Store site.
