Blade Assault, the side-scrolling cyberpunk roguelite from Neowiz, has left early access and is now available for PC.
Taking players forward into a future ravaged by the effect of the devastating Red Stone War, Blade Assault is an action-packed roguelite platformer developed by indie studio Team Suneat and packed to the brim with explosive weapons, a cyberpunk aesthetic, and dangerous mutated malformations. The new version 1.0 is now available on PC, via Steam, and adds a bunch of extra content into this title, including an exciting final act that early adopters haven’t seen before either.
Initially a Kickstarter project, this now complete adventure smashed its $10000 crowdfunding goal and has been building up to launch all last year. For those that haven’t picked up an energy blade or blown their way through early access already, Blade Assault is a stylish looking neon tinged experience that plays out across three distinct regions: the mutant-infested outside grounds, the Undercity where people have fled to seek refuge from mutants, and the sky city Esperanza where the rich and powerful rule over the world. As Blade Assault’s trio of heroes, Kil, Jenny, and Darcy, fight through the world they will utilize their own unique playstyles. You’ll use over 200 different items from Cores to Gears, and Enhanced Weapons to overthrow the corrupt military of Esperanza. Plenty of cool pixel art, chiptune backing tracks, roguelite challenges, and boss battles await your future.
Players eager to grab this new adventure can check out the new launch trailer for this stylish title, and then grab it from the official Steam Store page for an RRP of £13.99 or local equivalent. Existing owners can log in now and take on the new ending and 3 brand new bosses. Me, I’m off to sharpen my energy blade and slice up some evil doers.
