Blade Runner Enhanced Edition Cinematic Trailer

Nightdive Studios has released a brand new trailer to show off the cinematic updates to Blade Runner Enhanced Edition. The trailer showcases the first several minutes of gameplay and offers over 5+ minutes of side-by-side comparisons between the 1997 original 640×480 15FPS and the newly enhanced 4K 60FPS. There is a stark difference between the two though it’s a bit difficult to decide whether or not we prefer the original or the new graphics! Certainly, the environments are sharper and more detailed which is a lovely touch. The character models seem off a bit but you be the judge!

BR:EE is currently in development for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam. There is no word when it will be out but players can look forward to updated character models, improved animations and cutscenes, widescreen support, customizable controls, and a variety of foreign language translations.

In case you didn’t know, Nightdive Studios has been instrumental in bringing some of gaming’s most beloved classics to a new generation of gamers. Titles include Sin, System Shock, Turok, Strife, Wizardry 8, Tex Murphy, and several others.

We’ll keep you posted as we learn more. In the meantime, check out more about Blade Runner Enhanced Edition over at Nightdive Studios.
