NCSoft announce that Blade & Soul Neo will soon returns to PC screens, refreshed and reworked.
Blade masters are about to draw their sword one more time, and it’s looking sharper than ever. NCSoft, the Korean MMO studio behind Lineage and Throne & Liberty, has announced that its martial arts action-adventure Blade & Soul is set to get a rebirth as Blade & Soul Neo. Returning to PC screens soon, this modern remaster of a well worn windwalk is more than just WoW Classic. Instead it is due to offer deep character customization, incredible action based combat and entirely refreshed graphics and animations.
Anybody who’s old enough to remember the first outing for this free to play expedition will be familiar with the eastern inspiration and Wuxia-themed fantasy world. Floating into battel or leaping in with fists flying, each hero will experiecne the original storyline as a hero determined to restore honor to their clan that’s been wiped out by enemy forces.
A mix of four playable races and seven different classes, provides a ton of ways to combat villainous intentions. The Assassin, Blade Dancer, Blade Master, Destroyer, Force Master, Kung Fu Master, and Summoner each bring a different playstyle to the mix and the combo-based skill system rewards skillful play.
The flashy combat will hopefully look even better second time around in Unreal engine 4. Enhanced textures and lighting, improved animations, and more environmental details will pave the way to a huge world that’s not anything quite like other MMORPG. Players looking to relive the adventure without the old school graphics can sign up and prepare their weapons now. Head over to the official website to grab an exclusive pre-registration package, available today — including a cosmetically enhanced character outfit, in-game currency, and more.
Personally, I’ve always loved the character creators in NC titles, so here’s hoping Blade & Soul Neo doesn’t skimp on the ridiculous array of sliders this time either.
