In late May, Blizzard canceled annual BlizzCon 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Since then the company has been quiet on a possible online event – until Blizzard’s J. Allen Brack participated in a financial call this week to announce that a fully-online virtual BlizzCon will take place in the early part of 2021.
“We’re really fortunate to have a passionate and engaged community that’s really looking forward to what we’re creating,” Brack said.“We’re looking forward to sharing what the teams have been working on for that event.”
During the event, we will likely learn more information about upcoming titles such as Diablo Immortal, Diablo 4, Overwatch 2, and World of Warcraft: Shadowlands (that should be released by the time the event will take place).
