Blood Bowl 3 kicked off its third beta test phase during the recent Warhammer Skulls festival, so get your helmet and get on the field.
Blood Bowl 3, the latest iteration in the part sports sima and part Warhammer battle is open for testing right now. Kicking off during the recent Warhammer Skulls festival, alongside some other major announcements, the third beta testing phase for Blood Bowl three is open and running rampant until 12 June. This represents an opportunity for players to get on the field first and try out a bunch of systems and characters ahead of the 2022 release across available on PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and Nintendo Switch.
Players looking to jump in and crush some skulls in the name of scoring another point will be able to try out two new formations, the Chaos Renegades and the Old World Alliance. This also marks the inclusion of a new feature: the pitches and their specific gameplay rules. Gautier Bresard, project manager for Blood Bowl 3 dropped a rundown of what to expect in the newcomers, in a video diary below.
For those wanting the quickest of rundowns, The Old World Alliance is a mix of the raw strength of Ogres and Treemen, the agility of Halflings, the obstinacy of Dwarves, and the balanced playstyle of Humans. It’s a mongrel of a mix banded together in the drinking taverns of the Old World and it’s a potent brew. The Chaos Renegades teams represent the real flotsam and jetsam of the Blood Bowl world – players so maladjusted that no coach worth their salt would let them play on their roster. Essentially a nasty version of the other alliance.
While this test also includes all the previous content, you can find out about that here or head over to the official Blood Bowl 3 website to jump into the beta test now.
