Epic Games Store started the Epic Mega Sale with some pretty sweet deals: all games over $14.99 are $10 off “courtesy of Epic”. The sale doesn’t include DLC, add-ons, season passes, and in-game purchases and will run until June 13th. Check out the handy FAQ to learn more!
The offers extended to the upcoming games, including Vampire: The Masquerade -Bloodlines 2 that has been removed from the store as of now. According to Sergey Galyonkin, Epic Games Director of Publishing Strategy: “Paradox Interactive decided to remove the game from sale”.
In a chat with Russian portal DTF, he has confirmed that, regardless of the temporary stop in the sales, those who managed to purchase the game with discount will get to keep it for that price.
- Everyone who managed to purchase the game with the discount – will receive it for that price.
- The game will return to the store.
- We will fully compensate the sale to the publisher, they will not lose any money.
- The publisher has been notified of the sale mechanism prior [to the sale] and knew of its conditions
In a comment to TechRaptor, Epic Games spokesperson confirmed Sergey Galyonkin’s comment:
“If a developer or publisher chooses to not participate in our sales, we will honor that decision. Paradox Interactive has chosen to not participate in the Epic Mega Sale and the game has been temporarily removed from sale. If you’ve purchased Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2 during the period when the discount did apply at the time of check out, Epic will honor that price.”
