Borderlands 3 is one of 2K Games’ biggest games ever

2K Games has announced that Borderlands 3 is the company’s best-selling game ever. In the game’s first five days after release, over 5 million units were sold. To date, it has already generated a billion dollars. That puts it in rarified company alongside Grand Theft Auto V.

2K also provided some pretty cool facts:

One interesting side note from the Twitter thread above is that people seem to be willing to buy a game no matter where it is hosted. There has been an ongoing tussle between fans of Steam and those who prefer Epic Games Store about exclusivity. However, judging by the stellar numbers of copies moved, it appears that most players will buy a game no matter which of the game launchers it arrives on.

What really stands out for me over and over again in these 33 levels is how smooth it is to play as a duo in BL3 which is so important for gaming couples like us. I don’t mind admitting that I am also as much of a fan of FL4K as I am of Amara, his responses are incredibly entertaining and the way he interacts with his pet so adorable. I also get to enjoy seeing all of his animations unlike my own character so I guess I will just have to wait until my partner plays Amara to really see her in action but will he play her as well as me? We will see…
