Brace Yourselves, The Sims and The Sims 2 Are Back In a Birthday Bundle!

Developer Maxis and publisher Electronic Arts have shared exciting news: The Sims and The Sims 2 are back! What better way to celebrate the series’ 25th anniversary than to hop back to where it all began? You can get both games as The Sims 25th Birthday Bundle or purchase separately as The Sims: Legacy Collection and The Sims 2: Legacy Collection.

“The games you know and love, for Windows 10/11. In The Sims, create a neighborhood of Sims and guide their lives through careers, friendships, and romance — or create chaos with open-ended gameplay that lets you shape their destinies. In The Sims 2, you direct your Sims over a lifetime. Give them a long, successful existence or leave their lives in shambles. Guide their characteristics from one generation to the next. What do you want to do with your Sims’ lives?”

To celebrate this monumental occasion and remind players of the good, ol’ Sims times, the developers have released an entertaining live-action teaser you can find above.

The Sims 25th Birthday Bundle and the two respective Legacy Collections are available now on Windows 10 and 11 on the EA App, Steam, and Epic Games Store.

Note that this is not the end for the series’ anniversary celebration. Now that nostalgia got its due, it’s time to look forward! February 4th shapes out to be an exciting day for all Simmers. In addition to the 25-Hour Livestream with your favorite simmers and content creators, there’s also free goodies and event.

The Sims 4 base game will receive a huge update, bringing 70+ new in-game items to all players. There will be new Create a Sim options, including two new hairstyles, baby hairs added to three classic hairstyles, and a goatee for those looking for new facial hair options.

Kiddos won’t be left out, as Toddlers will receive a new hairdo! In addition, there will be new clothing from head to toe, like a new turtleneck and bodysuit, along with jackets, jeans, bike shorts, and so much more. And don’t forget to accessorize with a gold chain or a classy set of pearls, a fitted cap, and new shoes, including heels, sneakers, and sandals.

But that is not all, the Blast from the Past Event kicks off as well. It is a limited-time event where you’ll need to venture into Live Mode to participate. It features rewards inspired by iconic items from the 2000s, like a milk carton, telephone, alarm clock, triple-tiered birthday cake, and inflatable chair and loveseat.
